The Dow Notches a Record High as S&P 500 Notches 8th Straight Week of Gains

Stocks capped off a great week on Friday, as the Dow marked a new record close. The S&P 500, meanwhile, rose 0.4% on Friday, ending the week higher and marking an eight-week stretch of weekly gains. Higher yields mean lower bond prices–and when the bond market is under such intense pressure, stocks fall.
