Versant’s SportsEngine to Sell to Genstar’s PlayMetrics

Versant Media Group Inc., the owner of the Golf Channel and E!, has agreed to sell the youth-sports app SportsEngine to PlayMetrics, a competitor backed by Genstar Capital, according to people familiar with the matter.
