S&P 500 Options King Cboe Breaks Out On Earnings, Job Cuts

Cboe Global Markets easily topped Q1 forecasts early Friday while announcing amid the strong results a 20% workforce reduction. CEO Craig Donohue said Cboe is "realigning our organization to build more agile teams positioned to operate effectively in a fast-changing environment." Cboe had previously announced a quarterly record for trading of its proprietary index options, with average daily volume of 6.1 million contracts, up 29% from a year ago.
