Dow Halves Decline as Oil Prices Ease

Stocks were already bouncing back from their sudden slide. The Dow halved its decline to 277 points, or 0.6%. The S&P 500 fell 0.6%. The Nasdaq was down 0.9%. WTI crude oil futures were retreating, cutting their gain to 3.
