Stock Futures Drop as Tech Selloff Gathers Pace

Markets were on course to open in the red Tuesday as investors continued to dump tech stocks, which have taken a hammering in recent weeks due to concerns about the disruption that artificial intelligence could cause. Stock futures tracking the Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 38 points, or 0.1%. The Nasdaq has closed in the red for five straight weeks, dragged down by concerns about big spending on AI as well as a series of panic selloffs that have hit industries including software, trucking, and commercial real estate.
