US Consumer Spending Rises at Solid Pace in November

US consumer spending, adjusted for inflation, increased 0.3% in November for a second month, while the so-called core personal consumption expenditures price index, the Federal Reserve’s preferred measure of underlying inflation, rose 0.2% in November from the prior month and 2.8% from a year earlier.
