Stock Futures Surge as Greenland Relief Rally Rolls On

Stock futures were rising on Thursday, putting the market on course to extend the previous session’s rally after President Donald Trump scrapped a plan to impose additional tariffs on eight European countries. All three of the major indexes rose by more than 1% on Wednesday after the threat of a transatlantic trade war appeared to fade, just days after Trump said he would apply levies until NATO allowed his administration to annex Greenland. Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social that he and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte had drawn up a framework for a future deal regarding the Arctic island.
