Stocks Unchanged as JOLTS Takes a Bite Out of Early 2026 Rate-Cut Odds

The stock market didn’t move much, but bond yields jumped after Wall Street got a look at some delayed labor market data from September and October. The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, which was delayed by the government shutdown, showed the U.S. ended October with 7.67 million job openings in October, compared to 7.66 million in September, and up from 7.23 million in October. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.1%.
