Stubb Says He And Meloni Spoke to Trump About Ukraine

Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that together with Italian leader Giorgia Meloni he has spoken to US President Donald Trump about the US 28-point peace plan for Russia’s war on Ukraine. Stubb, known to have a good relationship with Trump, declined to give details of what was discussed on the call. Speaking in an interview at the Group of 20 leaders meeting in Johannesburg with Bloomberg TV, he said peace negotiations “need patience” and said European nations weren’t aware of Trump’s proposal before it was made.
