Lam Research Invests $1.5 Billion in Oregon to Expand Chip R&D

Tim Archer, CEO of Lam Research, said that his company is investing over a billion dollars to stay ahead of AI buildout demand and the accelerating pace of AI innovation. Archer said that new AI models are demanding more computational power, bandwidth and storage and Lam Research is focused on semiconductor chip innovation to meet those needs. (Source: Bloomberg)
