According to Wales, this is one key difference why Wikipedia has been able to engender such trust among its users, as opposed to social media platforms where the only purpose is free speech, often rewarding vitriol with more likes and followers. In his new book, "Seven Rules of Trust," Wales aims to encourage people to "get back to a society of trust," and to rely on facts from reliable sources.
