It turns out stocks can still rise without the vaunted artificial intelligence trade. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 664 points, or 1.4%, and the S&P 500 gained 0.9% despite down days from AI stalwarts Advanced Micro Devices (-4.2%), Nvidia (-2.6%), and Oracle (-1.6%). Home builders Lennar and D.R. Horton were up 6.6% and 5.8%, respectively.
